Research Focus

Dr. Sarkar's research is focused on the development of catalytic technology routes for the industrially important chemicals reactions. The activities include but are not limited to,

Design and Development of Novel Catalyst Systems for Existing and New Applications
Performance Enhancement of Catalytic Systems using improvized solutions
Understanding/ enhancing the commercial viability of catalytic reactions by inculcating "Green Chemistry" Principles, Sustainable feedstock, Catalyst-product separation and efficient catalyst reuse and recycle etc.
Proposing futuristic designs for catalyst performance enhancement e.g. use of supercritical fluids (SCFs), Xerothermal systems, Gas-Expansion of Liquid (GXLs) Solvents etc.
