  • INSA Bilateral Exchange Programme by Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi to visit Institute of Parasitology, Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, during June, 2017.
  • University Immersion award by Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani to carry out research at University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida, USA from June 8 – July 29, 2015
  • Travel award by CSIR, New Delhi for attending International Conference "22nd Molecular Parasitology Meeting" held at MBL, WoodsHole, MA, USA from September 12 – 16, 2011

  • Organizing Secretary of the National Workshop on “Molecular Techniques: Cell to DNA” conducted by the Department of Biological Sciences, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus from April 8 – 10, 2014 under the UGC-SAP
  • Participated in DST sponsored National Workshop on Mass Spectrometry for Proteomics from August 6 – 8, 2014 at AIRF, JNU, New Delhi. The workshop was organized only for University faculties Assistant Professors and above. 
  • International Workshop on Theoretical and Practical Course on "Molecular Approaches in Malaria Research and Vaccine Development", at ICGEB, New Delhi from 20th November - 1st December, 2006.

  • Dr. Gagandeep S. Saggu, awarded PhD in January 2017, currently working as Post-Doctoral Fellow at National Institute of Health (NIH), Bethesda, Maryland, USA.
  • Zarna R. Pala, Vishal Saxena, Gagandeep S. Saggu, Sushil K. Yadav, R. P. Pareek, Sanjay K. Kochar, Dhanpat K. Kochar, Shilpi Garg. 2016 “Structural and Functional Characterization of an Iron-Sulfur Cluster Assembly Scaffold Protein-SufA from Plasmodium vivax.” BITS Conference on Gene and Genome Regulation, at BITS Pilani, India, from February 18th – 20th (Ms Zarna, PhD student won Best Poster Award).
  • Zarna Rajeshkumar Pala, Shilpi Garg, Gagandeep Singh Saggu, Sanjay K Kochar, Vishal Saxena (2014).  “Characterization of nuclear encoded hypothetical proteins involved in Fe-S cluster biogenesis in Plasmodium vivax.” Presented at 25th National Congress of Parasitology on “Global Challenges in Management of Parasitic Diseases: Host parasite interactions, Molecular Biology and Drug Development”, at CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, India from October 16-18. (Best Poster Award). 
  • Zarna Rajeshkumar Pala, Shilpi Garg, Gagandeep Singh Saggu, Vishal Saxena (2014). “Characterization of nuclear encoded hypothetical proteins involved in Plasmodium vivax apicoplast metabolic pathways.”  Presented at Recent Trends and Future Prospects of Microbiology and Biotechnology organized by Shri Jagdishprasad Jhabarmal Tiberwala University, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan from March 3-4. (2nd Best Poster Award).  
  • Zarna Pala RajeshKumar selected for 'Novartis Biotechnology Leader Camp 2012' held at Hyderabad, India. There she won the first prize in Team event. 
  • Mr. Gagandeep S. Saggu, Dept. of Biological Sciences, BITS Pilani working as PhD student of Dr. Vishal Saxena received the Best Young Scientist award for talk delivered on "Characterization of Isoprenoid pathway genes from Indian field isolates of Plasmodium vivax" in National Conference "Recent trends and future prospects of Microbiology & Biotechnology" held at Shri Jagdishprasad Jhabarmal Tiberwala University (JJTU), Jhunjhunu from March 3rd - 4th, 2014.
