I have graduated from Christ church college, Kanpur (with mathematics) and did my masters
from Institute of Life Sciences Kanpur. I have done my Ph.D.in Immunology from Sanjay
Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow under the under the guidance of
Prof. S.S. Agarwal (Ex-Director and Founder member, SGPGI, Lucknow). During Ph.D. I have
worked on studying effect on fever on the cellular immune responses. Earlier, I was a graduate
student and conducted research in the Department of Plant Sciences, University of Alberta,
Edmonton, Canada.
Presently, I am working on anticancer properties of camel milk proteins and their potential role
as a drug delivery molecule. I have filed a patent on purification procedure of isolating
lactoferrin from camel milk. Also a casein nanoparticle has been developed for better delivery of
the Sorafenib, a drug used against hepatocellular carcinoma. Furthermore, I am also interested in
mathematical modeling in area of cancer biology and Immunological systems. I attach high
priority to foster skill development in students to solve real world problems.
