Dean, Engineering Services Division: Jan 2007- June2012
Jan. 2007 - June 2012, I worked as Dean of Engineering Services Division responsible for complete planning, development, maintenance and new construction at institute, and campus area. I handled the Engineering Services including Workshop unit, Transportation section, and Reprography section. Dean has number of responsibilities like leading the team of faculty members, non teaching staff and helping staff of more than 300 personnel, involved in number of regular and other committees, planning and execution of new projects, getting the grants, networking with outside agencies and government officials, etc. and My work also included development of BITS, Pilani Hyderabad Campuses (~370 crores) which required regular monitoring of the construction work and working with Architect and Contractor for development of campus. Implemented Rainwater Harvesting and Green Architecture in new buildings. Achievements:
- Rainwater Harvesting in new buildings
- New static sunshade (designed and implemented) in women 's hostel
- Static space (designed and implemented) for drying clothes at Malviya Bhawan hostels
- Quality Construction at low cost
- Initiated the on-line complaint management system
- Contributed in ERP as Asset Management Coordinator
Dean, Educational Hardware Division: Apr 2003-Dec.2006
I was primarily responsible for purchase of all equipment, hardware & software, across the Institute. As Dean, EHD, I designed new procedural manual and implemented new purchase processes and systems to bring transparency and efficiency. These systems are being practiced now also. Simultaneously, My work also included development of BITS, Pilani Goa Campus (~150 crores) which required regular monitoring of the construction work and working with Architect and Contractor for development of campus. Got material at discouted rate (upto 40% reduction) after negotiation.

As Group Leader, Civil Engineering: 1997-2000
As Head of the department I led the team of instructors, introduced new courses, got grants for modernizations of laboratories, designed new M.E. programmes, conducted number of consultancy work and other activities.
As Warden: 1996-2003
As a warden, from 1996 to 2003, carrying out the students elections, counseling on personnel and professional life, advising them on academic related matters were some of the duties carried out.
As Group Leader, Engineering Technology: 1994-1997
As Head of the department I led the team of instructors, introduced new courses, and coordinated with faculty members of different disciplines as it is a multi-disciplinary program.

I was involved in number of Institutional in-house assignments like nucleus member of Research and Consultancy division, nucleus member of Academic Registration Counseling division, Registration advisor, Member Of Doctoral Advisory Committee, Resource person- Intensive Teaching Workshop, Academic Counseling Board, Standing Committee for Student’s Discipline, Library Committee, Committee for Combating Sexual Harassment Problems, Campus Planning and Maintenance (Convener), House Allotment Committee (Convener), Purchase ommittee, (Convener), Centre for Desert Development Technologies (Coordinator) Staff Association (Vice President), Birla Institutions of Community Centre (Vice President), Progress Appraisal Committee For Non-Teaching Staff, Provident Fund Committee, and Other Investigating Committees from time to time. I have been the member of Senate (Highest academic decision making body of the Institute), and Research Board since last 15 years.
