Alumni of the Institute, spread around the globe, have made the Institution and Department proud of their accomplishments. They have contributed in significant ways, in all spheres of life, ranging from research, academia, industries, administration, policy-making, philanthropy to entrepreneurship and social outreach.
Primary objective of this portal is to bring together faculty, students and all those alumni who have either done their bachelors, master’s or doctoral studies (at the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems) or who have gradually moved into the domain of Computer Science and allied areas.
We intend to gradually enrich this portal so as to provide following:
- Access to relevant alumni database.
- Request-based addition to the relevant LinkedIn group.
- Providing a way to deploy lifelong alumni Email-id to all verified alumni.
- Providing a window to on-campus activities via subscription-based electronic newsletter and select opportunities to interact with the news makers.
- Providing a way to help the department by any
one of the following means:
- Collaborative research, development, consulting, survey or analytics based projects.
- Creating new research internship opportunity for on-campus Computer Science students.
- Spending a semester/year, on sabbatical, at BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus.
- Creating/mentoring an entrepreneurship opportunity for interested students or student-faculty teams.
- Partially/fully funding any of the ongoing or new projects or facilities.
- Alumni may also bring in their technical problems as well as full/partial projects to the campus so that under the joint mentorship of a faculty member as well as someone from the industry team, duly skilled students could work towards finding solutions to the identified problems or complete developmental projects based on a formal arrangements.
- Facilitating alumni visits to campus based on a mutually agreed agenda.
- Seeking as well as collectively new ideas and collecting feedback with respect to the current needs in deferent spheres.
