1. 'Mechanistic insights on cell wall degradation', Research Initiation Grant, BITS Pilani, 2021-2023
Role: PI
In brief: The project aims to elucidate the mechanistic insights of various carbohydrate-active enzymes that are involved in degradation of plant cell wall during infections.

2.  Investigation of the role of extracellular polysaccharide (EPS) matrix in Macrophomina phaseolina during infection of soybean roots (Glycine max L.), Additional Competitive Research Grant, BITS Pilani, 2022-2024
Role: PI
In brief: The project aims to charecterize the EPS matrix of Macrophomina phaseolina

3.  Elucidating the glycobiology of host-pathogen interactions at the cell wall interface for engineering charcoal rot resistance in soybean under abiotic stress conditions, Start-up Research Grant, SERB, 2022-2024
Role: PI
In brief: The project aims to elucidate the role of extracellular polysaccharide component in Macrophomina phaseolina during abiotic stress conditions

4. Elucidating the dynamics of photosynthesis and cell wall remodeling in E. salsugineum, an extremophilic plant during abiotic stress and subsequent recovery phases for crop improvement in the scenario of climate change, Special SERB Grant, 2022-2025
In brief: In collaboration with the Central University of Tamil Nadu, we will investigate the dynamics of cell wall remodeling by applying comparative glycomics approaches,

5.  Understanding vir Genes: Potential Mediators of Cyto-adherence in Severe Malaria from Plasmodium vivax, extramural grant, ICMR, 2022-2025
