• Objectives

  The Student Welfare Division at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus shall always strive to provide the most conducive environment to bring out the best out of every student. It is our endeavor to do anything and everything possible to make the student's stay in the campus the most memorable one. 

   

  Our division cares for every student and shall always look into their needs that may arise from time to time.

   

  Other activities of the Division include : 

   

  •  Collection of fees, Disbursal of Institutes MCN Scholarships, Coordinating for various Fests organized.

  •  Maintenance of Individual students account related to Mess Advance.

  •  Hostel accommodation to students.

   

  Any maintenance complaints (Electrical, Plumbing and carpentry) in the hostels can be entered in the registers available near the hostel entrance. Complaints regarding internet connection should be made to the Information Processing Centre (Server Room) in B block.

   

• Services Offered

  Student Housing :

  • BITS, Pilani - Hyderabad Campus is a fully residential campus.  The campus provides accommodation (single/double non air cooled) well ventilated rooms for students. All the rooms are provided with modern furniture, internet connectivity and round the clock security. Floor wise common rooms facilitates with cable TV, magazines, newspapers, & Table Tennis in ground floor and other recreational facilities like Chess and carom boards. Potable drinking water is available in each floor and telephone is provided in the hostel office rooms. There are two large dining halls well furnished with modern equipment in the kitchen.
  • Fee Collection, Issue of Receipts and Scholarships
  • Issue of Id-Cards, Bonafide Certificates and No Objections.
  • Monitoring the Student Activity Center.
  • Processing of Medical Insurance claims.

• Medical Insurance

  • Medical Insurance [Policy Sum Insured (maximum limit) Rs. 75,000/- per student] is applicable, only if the student is hospitalized for more than 24 hours and the claim documents have to reach the insurance company within 15 days of the discharge from hospital. 

   The documents required to be submitted, at the time of making the claim, are :

  • Discharge summary from hospital.
  • All prescriptions and receipts for Medicines and Tests

• Sports & Other Activities

  Students Activity Centre (SAC) :

  • Student Activity Centre (SAC) offers facilities for various indoor games like Caroms, Chess, Table Tennis, Pool Table/ Billiards and Foosball. 
  • Gymnasium with state of the art equipment for boys and girls.
  • A separate hall with wooden flooring is being provided for Yoga and Aerobics training. 
  • Various Clubs like Dance Club  & Music Club (Indian and Western), VFX Club, Photography Club, Dramatics Club, Arts and Deco Club and English Language Activities Society are provided with facilities in the SAC to pursue their activities. 
  • A variety of musical instruments like synthesizers, drums, guitars, etc., are made available for students of the Music Club to encourage them to practice and perform.

  Games and Sports :

  • The institute offers several sports and recreational facilities like Table Tennis, Chess and carom boards in the hostels. 
  • Two Badminton courts with wooden flooring, Two Lawn Tennis courts with synthetic surface, Two Basketball courts with synthetic surface are available with flood light facilities, Throw ball, Volley Ball with TURF surface,3 Cricket TURF pitches for practice and 1 in main ground. 
  • Foot Ball, Cricket Ground with  under development.

   

• Student Educational Loans

  STUDENT EDUCATIONAL LOANS :

   

  ​The students studying in BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus can avail Educational loan facility through State Bank of India, Gunrock is authorized by Ministry of HRD​ to provide education loans for the students studying in BITS- Pilani, Hyderabad campus.
