About the Faculty
 
Dr. Partha Sarathi Addy was born and brought up at Kolkata, WestBengal. He has done his undergraduate studies (BSc.) from prestigious Presidency College Kolkata (Now Presidency University). He joined IIT Kharagpur to complete his MSc. and PhD. After completing the PhD he moved to USA and stayed there for five years for his postdoctoral research in the field of Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology. During his stay in USA he worked at Boston College and University of Massachusetts Amherst.
 
After coming to India he worked as Senior Research Scientist at TCG Lifesciences Kolkata prior to joining BITS Pilani as an Assistant Professor in April, 2021.
 
His main goal is to use Organic Chemistry as a tool to solve the existing problems of Chemical Biology. Eventually he wants to develop a high throughput screening platform to find drugs against lethal diseases (like COVID-19 or Cancers) and a general nano medicine platform targeting customizable cancer therapy for different cancer types.
