The Indian Association of General Relativity and Gravitation (IAGRG) is a national organization of scientists working in Gravitational Physics, Cosmology, Astronomy, and related fields with an aim to promote interest and to facilitate research in the related areas. One of the most prestigious events organized by the IAGRG at the national level is the eponymous meeting, which takes place approximately every two years in various venues across the country

The Department of Physics, BITS Pilani, Pilani campus is one of the leading centres of Physics education and research in the country with 26 faculty and about 45 research scholars working in diverse areas of theoretical, experimental and computational physics. While the department existed even before 1964 as a part of Birla College of Science, Commerce and Pharmacy, it has existed in its present form since the inception of BITS Pilani in 1964.The department offers M.Sc. (Physics) and PhD degree programmes. In addition to this, it also offers Minor programmes in Physics and Quantum Information and Technologies. The department stands nationally among the top 15 departments of Physics and Astronomy and in the bracket of 450-500 as per the recent QS ranking. It is also listed nationally at 8th position as per the prestigious Nature Index ranking 2023 in Physical Sciences.
